Sir Hans Sloane Collection

Sir Hans Sloane
Museum Collection

Hans Sloane collects a range of objects found on streets and around his house and places them in a contained box, which he arranges them in his box like a museum. What I like about his collection is that all of his objects are old and almost tattered. All of his objects are small and contained objects which fits  in well with his collection. What has made me to look at Sloane's work is that he also studies shells and nature objects, and has made me to study shells for my final project. Most of his objects are almost brown and dark coloured objects. He has placed all light coloured objects at the top of his collection and darker coloured ones at the bottom. Hans Sloane never collects new objects and always old or broken objects because older objects has a story and a past behind it and is always more interesting to look and study.
